Configuring Windows 98

Step 1 After you have installed the modem hardware in your computer, plug the

computer back into the wall outlet. Turn on the power and allow the system

to boot normally.

Step 2 Windows 98 will immediately display the Add New Hardware Wizard and

identify the modem as a “56K V.90 Fax/Modem (LKT)”. Click the Next

button.

Step 3 At the next dialog box, make sure that “Search for the best driver for your

device. (Recommended)” is selected, and then click Next.
